| This photo was taken on my first day in Iraq. We had flown by C-130 from Kuwait into Iraq late in the night, in order to more effectively avoid surface fire from the enemy. I stayed awake, maintaining my personal weapon and finding chow. As the sun rose I started walking around Camp Taqqadum and spotted this Marine truck. Later that night, our group would convoy in these same Marine trucks to Ramadi. As with most vehicles in Iraq, this one has steel armor added on around the gun turret to provide more protection. |
