Progress on
the island can be measured in different ways. For those who have
a stake in developing the island these photos are probably indicators
of success. Beachfront resorts are offering all the amenities, including
airconditioning and satellite television. I suspect that in a few
short years Ko Phi Phi will be fully developed; hopefully, it can
be done in a sustainable manner. Those seeking a quite refuge will
need to find another island.
