Eating konnyaku, or "devil's tongue root jelly."

Jellied and boiled konnyaku is peculiar to Yamagata Prefecture. Characterized by a non-taste, many foreigners eschew konnyaku on a stick. However, it can be flavored with mustard, or used in different kinds of soup. This young girl obviously enjoys it plain!
