These people from a minority group, again perhaps Yi or Bai, may be an example of the shifting population China is experiencing at the moment. As farmland is reduced in some areas, people travel to larger cities and start a small family business--as these people seem to have done with a small stall selling ethnic products.
On a cold, overcast day in Kunming it is hard to take photos of the natural scenery--using color film under the circumstances tends to result in cold, flat photographs.
So then my eye is naturally drawn towards color and warmth, exactly what I saw here at a row of stalls where tourists can buy native garb and baubles.
